Harry Potter is now a part of my JOB! I am going to start reading the Sorcerer’s Stone with my 6th grade class an I cannot wait! My kids are actually excited about it and I finally can get paid to do projects about my favorite book of all time! Whoop whoop! It’s a dream come true!

That’s awesome! Lucky kids, I wish my teacher would have read Harry Potter to me when I was a kid. Those books are some of my best childhood memories 😀

I’m surprised you don’t have certain parents saying, “Oh she’s reading evil sorcery literature to our children.’ Won’t someone think of the children.

Well to help with that, I am sending a letter home to all the parents to let them know what we are reading and if they don’t want them to read it then I have an alternative assignment 🙂

i’m a banker, not a teacher … and i LOVE harry potter … are the books considered ‘literature’? or do you get to pick it because it’s a (great) book and have the freedom to do so?
