This past week my husband and I watched the film, the Theory of Everything. It has had a lot of Oscar buzz, and last night at the Oscar’s Eddie Redmayne won best Actor for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking. I watched the movie with bated breath and loved every moment. Redmayne’s performance was beautiful and the journey he showed of Hawking’s life was heartbreaking yet resounding. I highly recommend this film! You should watch it! It really opens your eyes to the struggles of being a caregiver and the heart and courage is requires.
The Persistent Platypus 
This movie was so good. I’m so glad he won. He did an amazing job.

Eddie Redmayne gave a very touching performance. It’s a well deserved award though Michael Keaton was also superb in Birdman.

I enjoyed it. Great performance by Redmayne. Felt like it was pretty standard biopic and all the dewy lighting and twirling got a little annoying but I did like it.

I thought you’d like to know that Benedict Cumberbatch played Hawking on UK BBC TV in 2004: it was his TV breakthrough here. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0395571/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_51 – it’s basically the same story as Theory of Everything. I don’t know if it’s been shown on BBC America etc. I do like the way that Redmayne is following Cumberbatch in his career trajectory, but is winning the awards.
