Make a difference

Do something kind today. Make a co-worker smile. Talk to a lonely student. Make a new friend. You never know how those small actions can turn someone’s heart and give them hope.

Have a fantastic Thursday!

Ready for a great week!

Well, my husband and I are back home from Phoenix and snuggled in our beds, after watching the Super Bowl. I don’t normally watch sports (other than having it on in the back ground), but I have to say it was a great game!

I am starting my week with a positive attitude and I am hoping to make the most of it. I am going to stay focused on the good and move on past the bad. I hope you all have a wonderful week!

You are Created for Something Great!

When you are feeling inadequate, remember that God has created you for a specific purpose. You may not have the skills that the person next to you has, but guess what?! They weren’t created to do what you can do! You are unique and your talents will surprise even yourself!

Don’t forget that YOU are special! YOU are going to do something great!

What are your best qualities?

There are always times when we all feel down and, for lack of better words, beat ourselves up. In the past, there have been times where I could hardly look in the mirror because I was so angry with myself. I truly think we are often times too hard on ourselves. We beat ourselves up over small things, and some not so small things, but honestly, I believe we are all trying our best in the situations we are in.

If you are feeling down about yourself I want you to write down at least one thing you like about yourself. ANYTHING! Each day, add one more item to the list, and soon you will see you have many wonderful qualities about yourself!

If you would like to comment below and leave some things you like or even love about yourself, feel free! We should share our self love!! 🙂

Here are my top three:
1. I like my excitement about life
2. I have a huge imagination
3. I have pretty amazing hair

Count Your Blessings

Over the past few days I have really been focusing on the numerous blessings in my life. I truly, truly love my job as a teacher, my family is supportive of my anxiety struggles, my dogs are very cuddly and sweet, my friends are fabulous and honest, and my husband is my rock! He was also been promoted to Assistant Principal a few weeks ago, and I am gushing with pride! He is only 30 years old and it is incredible that he was able to earn that position at such a young age! I certainly know how to pick ’em!

This season just reminds me to focus on giving to others and there are so many whom I am thankful for and blessed by. Years ago, I never dreamt I would be this happy and content with my life. Just even 5 months ago! It is incredible how changing my mindset could spark off life changing actions and produce a fruitful life.

Remember to take time and identify your blessings. No matter how small. There is always hope.

ADHD and Me!

ADHD makes me, me!
It fills my brain with creativity,
But also sparks off my anxiety.
My impulsiveness gives me words of great hilarity,
And I’m pretty sure it can annoy my family!
I always tried hard in school but teachers told me I was lazy,
And those comments always made me the most crazy!
Even though not everyone understands ADHD,
Someday the world will know and we will stand united as a great big WE!

Anxiety! You have nothing on me!

Anxiety! You have nothing on me!
You may follow me everywhere I go,
But I am the one who controls you!

There may be moments where your cold grip wrenches onto my chest,
But I can get rid of you!

I am no longer afraid of you.
Bring it!

I love Blogging

I try to make sure I thank all of you as often as I can because you have been so supportive as I have put forth the continual efforts to gain back the control anxiety has stolen from me. It has been 5 months since my last panic attack and I am feeling mentally and spiritually healthy!

Blogging has truly helped me heal. Just by surfing through WordPress, I have found many of you who are struggling with the same illness and are bravely facing it each and every day! You all have been so open and honest, and it has helped me realize I am not alone in my struggles. That I am not weird or crazy. I’m just a woman who happens to experience anxiety.

Thank you for all the love and support you guys send my way every day! I truly appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.

Stay Positive

I always like to be reminded to think about what I’m thinking about. It is impossible to have a good day if all our thoughts are clouded with negativity.

Today, remember to pay attention to what thoughts you are dwelling on. Are they helping your on your path to a positive life, or are they putting up road blocks to keep you negative?

Have an AMAZING Saturday!
