I’m Obsessed, and I love it!

I am reading Big Little Lies, and yes I know I’m late to jump on the bandwagon, but oh my word, I’m glad I finally jumped on! I saw part of the series during my maternity leave, but I didn’t get to finish it. I’m glad I waited to finish the series so I could read the book, but not knowing makes the book that much more delicious!

I have been reading every spare moment I have had today, and I have found myself rushing through chores to get back to reading! I’m about to go back!

No spoilers allowed yet: but have any of you read it?!

Incredible Sci-Fi

if you are a Sci-fi fan, and you haven’t already read the Martian, you MUST! I just started it yesterday and I am hooked! I have it on audiobook and I have been listening to it while I have been painting the garage. My husband, who never reads fiction, is even enjoying it! I even caugh him LAUGHING! Gasp!

The novel has been adapted into a screen play that is set to release Nov 25, 2015! I will be there opening night!

Check it out!

A must read!

I cannot put this book down! It is Sarah’s Key, and it is the most eye-opening, beautiful, heart wrenching story I have read in a long time. It is about a young Jewish girl in occupied France during WWII, who locks her brother in their secret cupboard when the Frech Police come to round them up. What we learn throughout the story is the fate of the men, women and children who experience the Frech round ups. Around 13,000 Jewish people were taken during this time and sent off to labor camps and eventually death camps. I had never heard of these round ups before I read the book so I have learned so much about history and the depths of the human heart.

If you are at all interested in this time period, you should check out this book!

Excited!

My favorite time of year is here! Valentine’s Day, for me, always means BOOK SALE! Every year since my husband and I have been married we have gone to this annual book sale down in Phoenix, and it is always the highlight of my year! I would much rather smell the scent of old books than that of a dozen roses. Now this doesn’t mean I don’t like flowers. So honey if you are reading this, as a reminder: Daffodils are my favorite!

Nerdy Book Club

L-O-V-E. The four most powerful letters in all the world. When the letters are pieced together, it creates a word that holds the meaning of the deepest emotion known to man. Love. Works of epic literature have been woven  together to demonstrate the lengths mankind will go to taste its fruit.  In the deepest part of our souls, we crave love. Our core aches with longing to understand the meaning of true love and the passion it brings. Whether it is romantic, family ties or even loyalty, we all long to experience it.

deliriumNow imagine a society that has deemed love illegal. To them, it is a disease that infects the brain and eventually leads to lunacy.  This is the…
